I have just told you two days ago about the Philippine Independence Day celebration, and I should say it was a blast. The cars I told you that will be participating for the car color parade were brilliant! I saw tons of vintage and modern cars parading the historical streets of Manila! I never even thought Filipinos own such cars!
I saw classic Ford Mustangs in red, yellow Volkswagen Beetles, blue Chevrolet Impalas and white vintage Cadillacs. There are also around 8-10 Ferrari cars that joined the parade. I'm still in awe even until now! I only expect normal looking cars from Toyota, Honda or Ford since I think those cars are the ones that is owning the street of the Philippines but no, I only seen a few of them and most that participated are really good classic old cars.
Anyway, there was a bargain in the middle of point of the independence festival and there are a lot of things that are very useful for your cars especially for those cars that has parts that are hard to find. There are also Acura upholstery stores that opened for Acura fanatics, though I think Acura is not that popular in the Philippines as compared to their parent Honda.
I bought something different and not really an important thing. It was an original copy of Jude Law's movie, The Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. Well, I love that film even if it's a bit childish. I love the classic look of it, the world in the 40's and 50's.
Robots, flying cars and big rockets in 1945 is really hard to imagine but the film delivered it well. And if I were to make a film, I will reciprocate it. If Jude Law's film happened in the old days but have modern gadget, I will make a film that is set in our present time but uses classic things. I will not use an airplane, I'll use a car and make the title Road Driver and the World of the Past, lol!
