Glasgow

When did you start your website and why?

I started my website on December 2006 to inform UK companies about commercial vehicle insurance in Britain as the market needs this kind of information so companies can make informed decisions about their insurance.

Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc

This website answers the questions that business owners would ask when they need commercial insurance, so we solve this solution for them.

What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?

The research and the content creation is very time consuming.

What has been the easist part of operating your website?

The design and lay out.

What was your biggest mistake?

Trying to build more than one online business at the same time.

Who maintains your website and why?

I maintain this website my self , so i can answer visitor questions my-self with straight answers, and provide the advice they need most.

Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?

As i mostly focus on my visitors needs, I can refer them to commercial insurance companies I choose carefully and earn a commission from this from the companies direct.

To provide information which is needed, as only these site which provide this information are the sites that are true businesses and will last online and be indexed forever. Google and Yahoo will find the sites that do not provide such content and dismiss them from there index.

It's only one part of the whole jigsaw.

What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?

i will be rewarded for the content I provide, because I written it and it is unique.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

SEO and link building.

What method has been least successful for promoting your website?

Creating pages and pages of crap content, it does not work I can assure you in the long run (that was my early days).

What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?

Get all the spamers out of the game so new value site can be index quicker and rewarded quicker for their efforts online.
