Please give us a short summary of your website?

A selling forum for used trucks, trailers and vans. Over 80 experienced export friendly dealers on one site. More joining by the day. Loads of industry related items for sale and a few exotics, sports cars, motorhomes etc etc.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

The need for a change of job and a burning ambition to succeed.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

www.worldtrucknet.com An auction site for heavy goods vehicles

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Had a limited choice that were industry related

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

Looks, Technology Everthing !!!!!

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

to become a world wide brand, and maybe market leaders !

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Yes and No, Ionly take an allowance from the company at the minute and life is often hard through not having enough cash. I start between 5-6 in the morning and often work untill 8 at night, i suppose the stats make it worth the slog.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

You can never have enough publicity, also i would be developing my next concept by now.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes, its very easy to run.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Banking transactions taking twice as long as they said, also cost of industry related organisations you need to join to be "in" .

What has been your biggest challenge?

Getting the first user.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Definatly buliten boards and emails.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

Not really.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

6 months, it'll be around for ever hopefully.

Do you enjoy the solitude of sole trading

Yes its the most rewarding thing ever, to be able to say you did it alone.
