I was looking for some update on the sequel to the very successful first Transformers movie that made it to the big screen last year. Finally, I learned that the filming is ongoing and the movie will be released on the summer of 2009.Here is a video from the filming of the Transformer 2 movie in Long Beach, California. Go watch it.
Whoah, that was some extra ordinary effect. That explosion wasn't fake. It's a real car explosion. Actually, there are a bunch of videos showing exploding cars in the set.
They did all those real explosion, that goes to show the movie is not cheaply made. I wonder how many cars exploded in the movie?
For sure hundreds of cars are used in this film, were cars are the main characters and not humans.
Also last week, there's a news that the Chevy Volt will be one of the transformers, but recently GM cleared that their Volt will not be one of the characters in the movie.
The Chevrolet Volt only stayed in the film set for almost 2 days, too short to be film and use as a character. Perhaps the Volt will only make a cameo role and will not be part of any of the Decepticons or Autobots. But who knows, 2009 summer is still too far to say GM won't change their mind or for the producers of the film to include Volt as a real character.
