The automotive world recently got a shocker when Martin Eberhard, founder of Tesla Motors and the former CEO of the company sued the company he founded. Martin Eberhard is suing the automobile company along with the company's current CEO, Elon Musk.
The dispute between the two started in 2007 when Martin Eberhard was unceremoniously let go from Tesla by the then Chairman Elon Musk. According to Musk, this was done after a faulty audit made by Eberhard that put the Tesla Roadster's price higher than what Tesla's senior management had predicted.
But according to the lawsuit filed by Eberhard, he was thrown out of the company simply because CEO Elon Musk doesn't like him. The lawsuit also stated that Elon Musk went as far as threateniing to convert Eberhard's Preferred Stock Options to Common Stock Options that will result into Musk gaining control of Tesla's board of directors.
After he was out of the company, Eberhard stated that he wasn't given the proper payments he deserved. The 146-page lawsuit contain several other topics and we expect that the outspoken Elon Musk will make the next events about the case more interesting.
It is remembered that Elon Musk got involved in an issue with firing an employee after it leaked an information to the media and from then on started his own way of ensuring his people's loyalty. He sent an email about trust and loyalty to his every employee but altered every email so he will know if ever the email was forwarded to others.
He is also know to not hold back his temper and feelings towards other. Well, it will be an interesting battle and we'll be glad to give you updates regarding the issue.
