Do you ever feel like when your in traffic during road construction, that maybe sometimes the people directing traffic don't know what the hell they are doing? I felt just that today.
I wanted to get out of my car so bad and rip the stop sign out the persons hands and beat him with it! Okay, yeah I'm over exaggerating a little. It did frustrate me, but I wouldn't do something like that. Not only did I have to deal with it going home, but I also had to deal with it when I left to go back to work.
I only get a 45 minute lunch break at the garage. I only live like 5 minutes across town so sometimes I go home for lunch. Today was a little different. When I was going down the road that I live on I rounded the corner and was stopped for construction. For some reason I had to sit there for 15 minutes and wait for them to let my side of the street go through.
When I finally get home I knew I had to make it quick because I was going to be stuck in construction again. So I leave to head back to work. Once again, I was stuck. When the person finally spun the sign around to let us go, I got a phone call. It was my neighbor telling me he left his car keys at my house and need to get them. So I had to turn back around and go home. I was so frustrated.
When I left my house again I decided I would just go up the hill and around all of the construction. It would take a little longer, but nowhere as much time if I went through the construction again. So I drive up another street to get around.
When I come around the corner I see another construction flag person stopping traffic! This time it was because the city was cutting down trees next to the road! So after waiting through that I finally got back to work. Now I have to make up the EXTRA HOUR I was on my lunch break!
