The especially made lethal injection mobile unit in China have been in the news months ago. I never actually paid too much attention to it, until this morning, when a friend working in China told me that he overheard his Chinese friends talking of the Death Bus, as they call it.

In 2006 the Death Bus was reported to have conducted lethal injections to at least 1,600 to 8,000 Chinese criminals. This figure massively dwarfs the legal death executions in most countries. Has China grown tired of its overpopulation problems and had to resort into killing criminals that many? In a mobile facility?

Intelligent units in China, not affiliated with the Chinese government, said that the Death Buses are around 40 to 50 units, scattered in different parts of the country. This has since replaced the method of executing criminals in the land of Mao Zedong, which used to be by a firing squad.

Other issues revolving around the mysterious Death Bus is that, reportedly, the criminals' organs are harvested right after they died of the chemicals injected to them, and then these organs are sold in the West. This is according to sources from morgue and cremation facilities who said the corpses no longer have organs despite not performing autopsy on the bodies.
