Nowadays, there is no safe place on earth. Anywhere can be a ground of disaster and trouble. Even your own backyard can be your own cemetery. Mercedes-Benz knows these fact so they recently released something that will likely lessen the risk being killed.
MB's answer to street-level gunfires is their Amored E-Class called the E--Guard. The luxury sedan also now comes in black and it heavier and tougher. For security reasons, Mercedes Benz E-Guard E-Class sedans looks entirely the same as its original unarmored version. Of course, you wouldn't want your killers to plan another tactic with you not in your car.
In case of a street level attack, the E-Class E-Guard is equipped with an intercom, like most other armored vehicles, for you to be able to talk to the people outside and to connect you to the outside world.
Although it looks exactly the same as the original E-Class, the E-Guard underwent a special remodelling to hide the metal plates under the car that can withstand a DM51 hand-grenade blast. Also, the glass windows were also replaces with high level polycarbonate units that won't broke if a .44 Magnum hand gun is fired at it.
Unfortunately, long shot sniper guns with huge bullets can still pass through the windows, so it means a plotted assassination will not be deterred by the E-Guard's polycarbonate windows. But in case your tires are hit, the E-Guard sedan can still run on flat tires with those high level 17-inch wheels. The flat tires can still run for 30 to 50 mph.
Those who want additional protection with this luxury armored sedan, they can get in in Mercedes Benz dealerships beginning April. Of course, security comes with a price and MB added a whopping $58,000 for every unit of the E-Class E-Guard sedan.
