If we have ways of showing the latest fashion clothing statements through fashion shows where we hire people to do the public 'fitting' or hire supermodels and exotic celebrities, we also have fashion show for cars. In this type of fashion show, human intervention is almost needless, though there are still some who chose to have their cars be photographed with sexy ladies. I don't know why, perhaps it adds to the beauty of the car lol. But don't mistake yourself of buying the lady, just the car.
There are a lot of auto shows or motor shows in the world. This is the time where automakers get the chance to show off their best model for that particular year. It is also the time for future buyers to observe and study the model they will buy.
Major auto shows in North America particularly in the United States are Salon International de l’Auto de Montréal, Canadian International AutoShow, Chicago Auto Show, New York International Auto Show (NYIAS), Greater Los Angeles Auto Show (GLAAS), North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) and a lot of others. Probably the most popular is the NAIAS as Detroit, where it is held, is known as the Motor City and is said to be the center of the American car industry.
In Central and South America, the two car shows that sends out loud noises are the Sao Paulo International Auto Show of Brazil and the Montevideo Motor Show in Uruguay.
In Europe, where most of the most expensive cars available now are made, there are also a lot of auto shows you need to attend to if you are a car show addict. The Auto Mobil International (Germany) is one of the biggest if not the most popular because the International Geneva Motor Show of Geneva, Switzerland and Autosport International of Birmingham, UK are the finalist for the most awaited motor show every year. Other auto shows include Turin Auto Show (Italy), Helsinki Motor Show (Finland), British International Motor Show (UK), Madrid Motor Show (España), Mondial de l'Automobile (France) and a couple of others.
In Asia-Pacific, the auto shows are mostly dominated by China and Japan. The most ntable from Japan are the Osaka and Tokyo Motor Show and the Tokyo Auto Salon. Ini China, there is the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition or known as Auto China as well as the Shanghai Motor Show and the Guangzhou International Motor Show. There is also India's Auto Expo, Manila INternational Auto Show of the Philippines, Middle East International Motor Show of Dubai U.A.E., Indonesia International Motor Show, and Thailand's Bangkok International Motor Expo. Australia has three major motor shows, Australian International Motor Show, Melbourne International Motor Show and the Adelaide ToyoShow.
Africa on the other hand only has two known auto shows. This includes the Cairo International Motor Show in Egypt and the AutoAfrica Motor Show in Johannesburg, South Africa.
