You see, with the demand for premium cars and environment-friendly models soon to be increasing, companies like Lexus are bound to introduce their own concept cars that may be produced in the coming years. Indeed, weeks before the Frankfurt Motor Show, it promised the press and the fans that it will come out with a concept car comparable to the ones displayed by BMW and Audi.
Come the Frankfurt Motor Show, it stuck to its promise and introduced its newest C-segment hatchback concept car, named the Lexus LF-Ch. Sure, it's called a concept car, but don't even think that it will take around a decade before production. Company estimates show that the model will be ready for production by the next major motor show and ready for sale by 2011. According to this article from Yahoo!, the machine denotes its name from the L-Finess styling language, its C-segment designation, and the fact that it is a hybrid model.
The biggest surprise about this model is that, unlike in other introduced hybrid cars, there will be no purely diesel or purely petrol variants, meaning that it will be entirely hybrid. In fact, company executives at Lexus even say that they may well turn into purely hybrid makers in the future, something that companies with diesel priorities may scoff at.
Much is not yet known about the model, so just tune in to this blog once in a while for updates regarding this car from the Japanese luxury car maker. I have been trying to look around for specifications of the car but failed to do so. For something that is scheduled for release on 2011, it is somewhat surprising. Let's just wait for the details in the coming days.
