Flashlight and worklight performance and design has been radically altered since the introduction of LED (light emitting diode) technology to the portable lighting industry in the past few years. As LED efficiency improves, the result is improved brightness and run time in lighting tools such as inspection lights, worklights, shop lighting and of course in flash lights. LEDs are the light source of the future. Incandescent bulbs waste 90% of the electricity they burn by generating heat - not light.
