On 09/21/08 20:20, Noodle asked the following question:
I have a 96 S-10 and I just noticed that my interior lights will not shut off. Usually there is a delay and they shut off. I checked all the switches and none of them are on that would cause them to stay on. I have two on the rear view mirror and they are switched off and I have one in the ext cab part of the truck and it will not go off.
I checked the door "toggles" and they seem to be work (ie.push in and out when the door closes). Any tips on why the lights might stay on?
Are you sure you checked all the switches on the dash? The know that turns the headlights on, is that turned all the way back? If it is, thats why the exterior cab light is on. I would try that and if it doesn't work it may be in the wiring..
Can you advise if you determined what was causing issue? My Ford Taurus is doing the same thing. Thanks,
