Japanese Domestic Cars Now! Interview

By Interviewer at 09/11/07 07:23

Name of your website?

Japanese Domestic Cars Now!

Your name?

Ryan

Your Location (city, etc)

Tokyo

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Our website (or rather information forum) is not about selling car, but rather it about sharing information and giving help to those who have questions about JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) vehicles. We want to let the general public know all the benefits of exporting/importing a car from Japan.

People find this confusing because they don't know about this or they don't where to start. We want to provide a place to start, which ever country they are from, so they can experience getting their own quality, well maintained Japanese car. We aren't focusing on a particular country because we want anybody interested in japanese cars to get the answers they want.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

We felt people are turned off from this market because of confusion and delays in getting answers (especially people from outside of the top five japanese used vehicle export countries). So we named it Japanese Domestic Cars Now! because we want to people to be involved in this increasingly large market.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

We aren't looking for income from this project, but we do want to see visitors. We've had this site open for a week now, and it is expanding fairly quickly. Not a riot, but quickly and we expect more and more visitors as we get the word out. Hopefully the question "How long will you continue if no traffic?" will not be an issue, but we understand this is a process to develop this into a full community.

What is your website address?
