Ford says it will ramp up production of green-technology models

Ford is definitely back in business.

Posting net profits in the second quarter of the year after turning down bailout propositions from the federal government, Ford Motor Co. plans to continue its green-car strategies by investing in more efficient models and still retaining its varied line of products to woo in more customers. To improve fuel economy, it plans to depend on smaller electric-based engines.
