We have push science to what we think is its limit. We have made ultra sonic speed cars, we have even invented cars on water and car that dives underwater. But one that we would always look at as a frustration was the one we used to see in sci-fi movies like star wars and mission impossible, the flying cars.

Although we have made hovering cars, we have not successfully created a totally flying car that can move forward or backward. It's just there, hovering above the ground, but it won't take you nowhere. The hover car project had been there since man created the idea during the Back To The Future generation. But a prototype was said to be invented in 2000. Watch this.

The car is hooked on a crane to prevent accidents if ever the prototype fails to fly or if it suddenly stops flying.

There was a flying bicycle in the game I used to play, Pokemon Bicycle. And there is a flying car in the beta version of PS3 Gran Turismo.

It will not be a surprise if sooner or later, technology will once again create what it can call the biggest breakthrough in the car making industry, that's time when we have the ability to create a full size full feature flying car.
