No Perfume, No Ferrari

By Michael Shoemaker at 06/01/08 03:38

Hong Kong, any: A Ferrari Perfume Kit

A buddy just arrived from Hong Kong yesterday and he was excited to roam around the place. He's been away for like more than 2 years to work there as a systems engineer for an architectural firm.

He asked me to join him. He gave me a ride around our place and a nearby town. The car we are using is his brother's car, a 2000 Ford Expedition. Well, it's an Expedition, so you know how expensive it is when it comes to gassing up.

I don't know how much is the exact full price for a 2001 Ford Expedition. What I know is, he asked the gasoline boy to put a $40 diesel gasoline and it's not yet for a full tank! Anyway, we were also lucky because we got to receive freebies from the station. It's a bag of junk foods!

He then told me that in Hong Kong, they also have freebies whenever you gas up. But there's a situation that he really can't forget.

He got his car fuel filled and decided to stop by at the gas station's grocery store. He spotted a die-cast metal figure of a Ferrari Enzo, that one on the picture. Before, you can buy the car alone without anything with it. But that moment, he was told he cannot have the car without buying the item with it, a Eu de Toilet perfume for men by Benetton. Well, he tuned it down.

Me and my friends really do not love wearing perfumes. We just love the raw smell of people, heh! One more reason he turned down the offer, even though he really wants to have that die-casted Ferrari is that it's really expensive.

Before buying the car alone will just cost you around $5-$10. But with the perfume, it is now priced at $55! It's really good we never use perfumes. It's better to smell a bit stinky that spend a lot for just a perfume.

He still got himself a diecasted Ferrari though. He managed to bought one in a Duty-Free expat shop upon arriving at the airport. It's even better than the one offered in a gasoline station!
