It was a busy week I had. I traveled a lot this week, riding trains, buses and taxis. I had to wake up early in the morning, travel to my destination and then travel back home. I've been fixing papers for my nephews for the past week.I usually arrived home almost past midnight. I was really exhausted at the moment but I want to share with you a very cute discussion I had with my friends about 2 days ago. My friends came over for a tea and a moment of bonding. Well, we did what we usually do, debating. It has always been one of our favorite activities, talking about things and trying to outdo each other by means of reasoning and putting all your knowledge down on the table about the topic. It's like a brainstorming session. The topic we had this time is about an issue concerning the possibilities, pros and cons if cars were not invented and animals are still the ones being used as a means of transportation. We tossed coin to be able to choose who will be on the animals or the cars side. Obviously either of us wants to be on the car side cause its easier to depend. But unfortunately, we got the tails so me and my other friend had to depend the use of animals.
They started the discussion with "If cars are not invented, you won't be able to go to your destination fast." And we answered, "That's why God invented the horses and enabled man to build the chariots, in case man have not invented cars." Of course, they answered and laid their best points down as well. They pointed if cars were not invented, transportation will not be easy and that you kids will have no school bus to take them to school. Haha. They also said cars are perfectly intended to become the boys' ultimate toy. Plus, they said riding a horse or other animals is dangerous for boys, they might bash the treasure inside the pants and result into having no children in the future. Lol!
Well, we pointed out the obvious too. If cars were not invented, then millions of people around the world will not have to worry about the high price of gasoline. They won't have to worry about where would they get the $4 per gallon. If cars were not invented, then global warming and air pollution will not be as prominent as it is now. And if cars were not invented, then people would have not invented the word "car accident" and there will no car accidents itself.
There has been other discussion but it seems like the side we're on is not unfortunate at all. They have not replied some of our strikes, meaning we won the discussion. The prize? They will pay our horse rides ($30) on June 12 for the independence festival. :D
