It appears the VIN is: EB72962 We recently were defrauded in the purchase of 1962 Triumph TR3. Can anyone help me determine who the REAL owner of this vehicle is? We'd like to contact them and inquire as to who they may have had correspondence with and how the scammer could have possibly obtained the photos he used to convince us he actually owned the car? I can be email contacted at shandasmum [at] yahoo.com
We are working with the local Sheriffs Office but they seem to have come to a deadend. I'm not giving up that easily. I can e-mail photos to anyone who inqures in an effort to identify this car.
[Ed note: can you tell us about the actual scam so others can help avoid it?]
I was scammed like many others... I can give you some contact info if you'd like. There is somebody keeping track... Roger

This guy posts numerous items (TR3a's various years 60-61) Bobcats, motorhomes...he sells them at a very low price and then never delivers them. He simply downloads photos from various websites of a nice piece of equipment or car and posts it as if he owns it. There are various blogs and websites where people that have been scammed by him are keeping track of him. The easiest way to find him is to google the phone number listed on the ad or phone number.

This guy posts items for sale all across the country. I don't believe he actually owns any of the vehicles. He offers Bobcats, vehicles...TR3's and 1970 Mercedes 280SL. He sells the vehicles to some unsuspecting victims and then never delivers. he changes phones and banks about every two weeks...tough to trace.
