Domestically made cars posted a month-on-month growth of 12.4 percent and year-on-year growth of 24.7 percent this February 2009 in China. This was according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
The association said that the steep growth in car sales was boosted by government stimulus policies, such as the halving of the purchase tax passenger cars with engine displacements of less than 1.6 liters to 5 percent.
