Birds of the same feather flock together. Fish of the same scale swim together. Moles of the same whiskers dig together. Cars of the same color drive together? Well, that is more likely what will happen on June 12 in many parts of the Philippines. Toyota Philippines in cooperation with the Land Transportation Office will be conducting a parade of cars in accordance with the celebration of the Philippine National Independence on the same day.
The parade comes with a code, a color code. Four colors are open for registration and will participate in a car parade from the Malacaņang Palace, the President's residence, up to the Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit, Cavite, the place where the first Philippine Independence from the Spaniards was annouced.
The four colors are in line with the Philippine flag's color - white, yellow, blue and red. They will occupy the four lanes of the Taft Avenue, Roxas Blvd. and the Aguinaldo Highway. I am imagining the scene, and I believe it would be spectacular!
Any type and any brand of cars are invited to join. Just visit the nearest Toyota dealers near you for more details.
The Philippines will be celebrating its 110th year of Independence that happened in 1898. The event will be a national celebration and is declared an official annual holiday. There are programs around the country and all are encouraged to take a look at the country's history and pay homage to our brave heroes.
The event will start at 6am and will end with colorful fireworks at night. There's still time so join now!
