In Chevrolet's eight (8) years in Thailand, this is far the best year yet for them.

Recently in the Car of the Year 2008 Awards in Thailand, three of Chevrolet's cars were recognized as the Car of the Year. They are the Colorado, Captiva SUV and Optra CNG that won the recognition from the Grand Prix International. This is the first it happened in their history in Thailand.

Chevrolet has once again dominated the limelight for winning the said award. It also showed that their innovation, great designs and efficiency is on top among other brands. The three model cars are the Kings of their category. The Colorado 3.0L, Z71 CTi Maxx was considered the best performing 4x4 pickup truck, the Captiva 2.0L was judged to be the best diesel SUV and the Optra CNG the most eco-friendly sedan and the best value for money.

The Car of The Year awards are presented annually by the publishing and automotive marketing group Grand Prix International to support the development of the Thai automotive industry. The judges assess vehicles against a range of features including design, comfort, fuel economy, handling, performance, eco-friendliness, customer satisfaction and value for money and their findings are published regularly to help prospective purchasers decide which vehicle is best suited to their requirements. The Car of The Year awards are presented to those vehicles judged to be the ‘best of the best’.
