About more than 300 years ago, in 1621, the first car was said to be built in China. Then rumors claimed it never run so the true car was first invented in around mid 1700's. But that time, still no one can show evidences that the cars invented really run using an engine. The dawn of the 1800's proved to be the century for proven inventions. It was in 1801 when the first car run using an steam powered engine, Richard Trevithick's Puffing Devil. Since then, innovations and development regarding the cars that we have now was conducted. A lot of research and experimentations were done just to improve these vehicles that we use for transportation. However, the good intentions of making transportation easier also resulted a backfire phenomenon on our planet. Cars are now considered as the biggest contributor of global warmers. Ironic it may sound, having known these facts, we still do not stop manufacturing cars. Only that what we build now is something more earth friendly, more cheaper and greener.
We have a number of automakers in the world nowadays. The largest of them is the Japanese automaker, Toyota Motor Corporation who also owns the luxury brand Lexus, Hino and Daihatsu. It is followed by the American's General Motors Corporation who also owns a number of division and subsidiaries like Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Daewoo, GMC, Pontiac, Holden, Hummer, Opel, Saturn and Saab. Other competitors in the car making industry are mostly makers of luxurious cars like Volkswagen AG who manufactures Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini and Volkswagen. Another highly potential automaker competitor is Honda Motor Company who manufactures Honda and its luxury division, Acura. Other manufacturers do not manufacture a lot of cars to exemplify the cars exclusivity. This way, the cars prices are higher than the others who manufaturers vehicles in larger numbers. Automakers who creates limited number of cars includes Dailer AG who creates Mercedes-Benz and Maybachs. BMW AG is known for its expensive lines like BMW, Mini and Rolls Royce. Tata Motors of India is the maker of Jaguar and Land Rovers while Fiat S.p.A. is known for its brands like Ferrari, Maserati and Alfa Romeo.
