A car insurance aggregator website that is unbiased and aims to help consumers get great car insurance deals.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

The lack of independent online car insurance advice sites in South Africa.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

2001 - A business directory for South Africa

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I chose a keyword rich name that makes the subject of the site very clear.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

It is independent and impartial. All the others are owned by the insurance companies themselves and puch their own policies.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To keep it!

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

The site is becoming very popular so the initial teething stage seems to be over.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I'd create more interesting and helpful content for the users.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Getting new insurance companies onboard has been an uphill battle.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Just getting started.

It hasn't

Just over a year and I'll keep doing until it becomes obsolete
