JobswithAutos.com Interview

By Interviewer at 09/13/07 01:53

Name of your website?

JobswithAutos.com

Your name?

TJ

Your Location (city, etc)

Scottsdale

Please give us a short summary of your website?

We are a national premier auto industry job board. We provide only automotive industry related employment content. Auto employers may search resumes, post jobs, and highlight their automotive related company on our site. Job Seekers that have a passion for autos may search auto jobs for free.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

A passion and experience for autos, internet, advertising, and job boards.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

2006 and it was www.motorocean.com a place to post an ad for anything with a motor for only $9.95

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Simple - Jobs and Autos had to be in the name and it is what job seekers would naturally type in a browser or in a search engine.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

The design, management and founder, the unique offerings, and the customer service for job seekers and employers alike.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To make it the one stop place for automotive industry employment related content for employers and job seekers to make their connections. We will be the #1 site in this vertical.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

It is everything. It was fully funded by the owner's money and time is invested on a daily basis.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Advertise, create even more cool elements to the site, and come up with ideas for the site that hasn't been done on any other website in any vertical.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Absolutely

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

None - I have over 300 domain names and 8 developed sites so that is a little complicated but other than that this site is awesome!

What has been your biggest challenge?

Focusing on just one of my hundreds of ideas.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

btls.com, google adwords, link building

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It really hasn't. As I mentioned, I have over 15 years sales experience which includes job board and auto industry related knowledge.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

About a month - I will keep it up forever regardless.

How can any interested investors or media contacts get ahold of you?

They can contact us at media@jobswithautos.com or the owner directly at tj@jobswithautos.com

What is your website address?

With plenty of strength and determination, I am always in the on going process of enhancing my skills, proving more fruitful than ever to the company, bringing the best out of teammates and deriving self satisfaction in whatever I do.
