Mercedes Benz has recently unveiled its newest addition to their fleet of cars, the Mercedes Benz S63 AMG which was unveiled in the recently held 2009 Shanghai Motor Show. This high performance vehicle was based on another MB car, the new 2010 S-Class which was unveiled earlier this year.
The 2010 MB S63 AMG uses a 6.3L V8, specially tuned to give out 525 horsepower and pump a 465 lb-ft of torque. Having said this, it's powerful to go from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds.
The 2010 Mercedes Benz S63 AMG will be available on the market in two editions, the standard and the long-wheelbase version. It is expected to hit dealerships this coming june for a base price of about $130,000. Is it inside your budget margin?
If you think the S63 is a bit short when it comes to speed and power, well then you might want another car from this line, though more powerful and of course, more expensive.
The 2010 Mercedes Benz S65 AMG is something obviously higher in performance than its S63 counterpart. It runs on an uberly powerful twin-turbo 6.0L V12. It generates a total of 612 horsepower and an impressive 738 lb-ft of torque. The S65 goes from 0-60mph in 4.4 seconds.
The 2010 Mercedes Bens S63 and S65 will both be offered to buyers starting June, though the S65 is a bit more expensive with its $200,000 base tag.
